About us

We are a community space where our people can actively celebrate and engage in our culture while providing Mi’kmaw and Indigenous education, storytelling and pride to our region.

For our people

Our centre is a space where community members can come together to reconnect with their heritage, actively participate in workshops and engage in hands-on learning experiences that deepen their understanding of their own history, traditions and cultural practices. Through storytelling, arts and crafts, language revitalization and selling authentic Indigenous-made products, we are fostering a sense of pride and identity in the heart of Mi’kma’ki.

For our visitors

As a tourism and educational destination, our centre is a bridge between cultures. We provide visitors with a meaningful opportunity to learn about the rich history, spirituality and contemporary issues faced by Indigenous peoples. Through exhibits, guided tours and interactive experiences, visitors of all ages gain a more authentic and respectful understanding of Indigenous contributions to society.

Our centre is managed by Millbrook First Nation.
