Voices of the Tent is about an Mi'kmaq man who held a special gift, the ability to hold an Indigenous spiritual ceremony, the Shaking Tent. The book is his autobiography, told to Joyce Atcheson, as he was also blind. The book was self-published by David Gehue. It is told in his voice, and it is like him speaking directly to the reader. This is a rare recounting from someone who held a special ceremony and tells what it is like to be called to hold this ceremony for his people, and for anyone who needed healing or answers.
